Web Design & Content Writing

Alexander College Website

Alexander College Website

I assisted in the creation of Alexander College's current website using Bootstrap to create a responsive, mobile-first design. The entire site is custom designed and hand-coded using WordPress and Visual Studio Code and optimized for SEO using tools such as Yoast SEO and Semrush.

Alexander College Blog

As Content Writer at Alexander College, one of my responsibilities is to plan, write, and design blogs which cover topics such as university transfer, Vancouver attractions, and more. Using tools such as Semrush, I was able to create SEO optimized content, some of which continue to rank well on Google. In addition to making optimized content, I also created a series of interview blogs featuring various faculty and staff in order to learn more about their area of study. This series also allowed students to learn more about their future instructors and staff who work at the college.

About the Designer

"When it comes to design, I love the creativity and simplicity of both Japanese and Scandinavian design. On the other hand, complicated, precise, yet impractical things like Rube Goldberg machines also bring me a lot of joy. I hope to draw on some of these styles as I develop my own ‘voice’ in the community."
